Welcome to the WayBetter App, a different and fun way to lose weight.

Our WayBetter Way of managing your weight is based on behavioral science and it works!  It’s all about turning hard work into fun. 
You’ll play in social games that last 2-6 weeks and motivate you to make small and sustainable changes, without turning your life upside down.

WayBetter has partnered with scientists from universities to publish our results in peer-reviewed journals. We have also received a $1 million grant from the U.S National Institutes of Health to keep building on our unique system.
What really makes WayBetter special are our proprietary Motivation Boosters! Behavioral scientists call them “commitment contracts.” Decades of studies show they work!
When you join a game, you’ll have a choice of Motivation Boosters:
Financial Commitment
WayBetter’s original Motivation Booster! You’ll put a little of your own money into the game’s “pot” at the start.  At the end, if you’ve completed all the game activities, you’re a winner!  You get all your money back plus a small profit. The profit comes from the players who didn’t complete the game. Their money is split equally among all the winners. WayBetter doesn’t keep any of it!  
Our data shows that players who put their money on the line are 5x more likely to succeed in achieving the game’s goal. Over a million people have already done it and to encourage you to try it, we’ll give you the money to cover your first game!  
While there’s money on the line, it’s never about the money. It’s about getting you to invest in your health, build momentum and confidence, and stick to your commitments.
